Glenn Stout’s 2009 book “Young Woman and the Sea: How Trudy Ederle Conquered the English Channel and Inspired the World” tells the story of the American Olympic-medal-winning swimmer who became the first woman to swim across the English Channel. And it’s now a new feature film from Disney starring Daisy Ridley as Trudy Ederle.

“It will take you on an incredible journey,” Ridley said in a special message she recorded for I Love Libraries. “Just like all the wonderful stories you can find in libraries do.”

Catch Disney's "Young Woman and the Sea" in select theaters May 31.
