“The Librarians,” filmmaker Kim A. Snyder’s acclaimed documentary about librarians in Texas, Florida, and other states who unite to combat book banning in the United States has taken the country and critics by storm—and now you can help it win an award.
“The Librarians” is one of several docs in the running for the Cinema Eye Honor’s Audience Choice Award. The Cinema Eye Honors recognize feature and short-length films and series with an emphasis on nonfiction work that is designed for public distribution, whether primarily theatrical, festival, broadcast, or streaming.
Each year audiences help select the winner of this prestigious honor by voting online. Please support our hero librarians and the Freedom to Read movement by voting for “The Librarians.” Voting is open until Dec 16th—vote now and help spread the news!

How you can support libraries
With library funding being gutted and censorship on the rise, supporting libraries is more critical than ever. If you’re looking for a way to help, we urge you to become a Supporter of the American Library Association by donating.
At the American Library Association, we are here to protect libraries — today and for generations to come. What does your donation do? It helps a neighbor gain skills to start a business. It helps a child discover themselves through books and programs. And it helps keep libraries strong, open, and free for everyone.
