September is Library Card Sign-up Month, and we want to hear from you.

Send us a short voice memo sharing how you library, whether that means storytimes, study sessions, streaming, or something uniquely you. Everyone who participates in September will be entered to win prizes and select recordings may be featured on future episodes of the How I Library podcast.

Submit a voice memo telling us how you library for a chance to win.

How to Participate (it’s easy!)

  1. Record a short voice memo on your phone or computer (30-60 second maximum).
    • Start with your first name and city/state.
    • Answer: “How do you library?” (What do you use your card for? How has your library helped you or your family?)
    • Give a shout out to your library.
  2. Save as .mp3 or .m4a.
  3. Upload your file via our submission form.

Prizes

All voice memos submitted in September will be entered in a random drawing to win prizes:

  • One (1) winner: $150 Visa® gift card
  • Four (4) winners: Your choice of a classic READ® poster from the ALA Store

Key Dates

  • Submission window: September 1–30
  • Drawing: Early October (winners notified by email)
